I just want to update you with what happened at work. I shared "my story" to my co-workers and asked them to help me edit it. Everybody contributed to editing even the non-Christians. In 4 days, I was able to share the gospel with 20 people while doing my work and they were doing theirs. There were only minor distractions when 2 were reading like statues, never moving for 2 minutes. Everybody liked my story and some said it almost made them cry. Several asked for copies. One was inspired he started writing out his testimony. It appealed to Christians and non-Christians alike. I want to encourage the Christians and I want the non-Christians to have a taste of God's Word by reading it.

Dr. Ken,

I am the Outreach Minister at Faith Baptist Church I think SPLASH breaks down
the simple message of being salt and light and letting what Christ is doing in
you flow out of you. I also think that it is encouraging people to be public
Christians; it is so simple and obvious when you read it, this is what all
of us should be doing all the time. Scripture memorization is often
times this monotonous task for an Evangelism outline, or something to
encourage me when I am down (Which is great). What this does though is
encourages us to have an abundance of scripture in us and in God's timing
let it flow out of us, in everyday life. It seems to me the concept in
SPLASH is so core to the authentic Christian life. Walk
with God and allow him to use you wherever you are, and allow him
specifically to use all that he is currently doing in your life. It is all
great. Thanks for all that you do to advance the kingdom, and influence
Churches all over the world.

Hundreds of our church family read this book and it literally changed
their perspective on showing people the love of our Lord Jesus Christ
and sharing the great Gospel Message with them. During the 100 days our
church family was reading this book 191 precious souls went through the
waters of baptism

Ken,
Splash is going great at OHC. People are getting Kingdom minded.
Our Sunday school attendance is breaking records. The folks are wanting to know how! Yet it is amazing how hard it is for folks to read 15 pages a week!
We take time to celebrate in the first part of the hour, and the stories are so encouraging to hear. I told the folks we would take the entire hour to share if need be, and there is no such thing as a small splash!
I have to truncate the lesson because of the willingness of folks to share, but basically I am teaching the book.
We now have, what I call, "The bait shop". People know where the booklets are and that they are free to come get bait. We will probably be purchasing more, soon.

Ken,
S.S continues to increase during this teaching. We have also seen an influx of invited folks. One, a single mother, told me as she was leaving Sunday she was close to being saved, that she looked forward to church, and that it was her friends who had been helping her understand the Gospel. This is just one of several great stories over the last three weeks.
Baptising two this Sunday as fruit from the series, too.
Many blessings

Hello Dr. Hemphill. Here is a follow up. Closed out Splash and our folks were really receptive. Thanks for the great resource. Practical and relative to everyday life.We put V8 Fruit Juice - Splash - in each Sunday School room last week as a reminder.

Mr. Hemphill,

OHC launched "Splash" this past Sunday. We had our all time high attendance for Sunday school - 96!! Not bad since we started with zero three years ago.

The people turned out and are hungry to learn!

Thanks for your ministry!

Blessings,
Mark Zimmerman
Just an update on SPLASH. The Sunday School class that I am teaching SPLASH to is going great. Also I have been able to use your devotional books to encourage people from all walks of life. I appreciate all that you are doing for the kingdom.

Have a blessed day. Your friend, David Hayes
I wanted to e-mail you this morning and give a praise report. I gave one of the SPLASH books to my student teacher who we have been praying for. She comes from a mormon background. She came into school this morning with a smile one her face. She said she called her friend to come and read the book with her. She said she asked Jesus to come into her heart! I am so thankful. Thanks for your book, but more importantly thanks to God!

In Christ Love,

My mother has been very sick for several months and finally had surgery today. As I was driving to the hospital, I began to pray for her, and I began to pray that I wouldn't get so caught up in my own worry that I missed a kingdom opportunity that He might send. As I sat in the waiting room with several others (I won't even go into the 4-5 "coincidences" that enabled me to be in this particular waiting room at this particular time---they are simply amazing!) a mother and her eight year old son came in the room. I watched them interact for about an hour or so and realized that he had some type of handicap. I overheard her say to someone else that he was autistic. He was very lively and even came over to talk to me and ask me some questions a few times, but at some point, he became very agitated and lost all control. He began hitting, kicking, biting, and punching his mother and yelling so loudly that most of the people in the room left. I was at a complete loss as to what to do, so I began to pray for him silently. After a few minutes, I knew that God was telling me to pray aloud for the little boy. I resisted for quite a while but God persisted! He kept challenging me to pray for the child to calm down. As I look back on it now, it's almost as if God said to me, "Michelle, I am going to calm this little boy down, now do you want to be a part of that or would you rather me do it without you?" At this point, the mother had pinned the boy to the ground and was sitting on top of him, trying to restrain his arms and legs while he flailed about uncontrollably. I finally asked her if she would mind if I prayed for her son. She said she wouldn't, and I got down in the floor and began to pray for him. Within seconds, the little boy had completely relaxed and calmed down. When I opened my eyes, the mother and the son were just staring at me and she said, "Who are you?" I was in tears at this point and I said, "I am a foolish child of God who was too concerned about what you were going to think about me to get down here when He first told me to!"

To make a long story short, we had the most wonderful conversation from there about her spiritual life and how she had lost hope in God and in prayer. She thanked me profusely and asked for my phone number in case she ever needed me to pray for her again.

Praise God-I am soaring and I just had to tell someone! ;-)
